With years of expertise across healthcare, IT, and office administration, we've built our reputation on one simple principle: the right match matters. We combine market knowledge with genuine care—for both candidates and clients—to create placements that last.

What We Do

We provide permanent and contract placements across three core specialties: IT Professionals, Senior Management, and Project Management & Office Personnel. But we don't just fill vacancies. We match individuals to roles where they'll thrive, aligning skills, experience, and career goals with organisational culture and growth opportunities.

Our Approach

We understand that recruitment isn't one-size-fits-all. Every client faces unique challenges, and every candidate brings distinct potential. Practical advice to help you succeed

The website also includes guidance on CV writing, interview preparation and career development to help you present your experience effectively and approach interviews with confidence.

You CV is your advert, your first contact with a potential employer so it’s essential this shows you in the best light.

Below are a few key points to help you when writing your CV.

Keep the format simple and in chronological order. Try to keep it to no more than 3 A4 pages, keep it succinct.

Look at the role you are applying for and tailor your CV accordingly. This ensures you detail the relevant skills and experience the employer is looking for.

Your CV should open with your personal details, contact information and a personal profile to grab their attention. Your hobbies and interests you leave until the last page.

List any qualifications, courses or key skills which are relevant to the role or industry.

When compiling your work history, include your previous job title, employment dates, employers name and a brief overview of your key responsibilities.

In a world of online applications, your covering letter will be the difference that gets you noticed. Make sure an employer can see at a glance why they should select you for an interview.

Keep it brief, professional; focusing on your experience relevant to the role and what you can bring to their business.

Do your research! Find out as much as possible about the company itself, their industry news and the role you are interviewing for. Shuffle Recruitment can help you prepare by providing you with some initial information, but you can usually find out about most companies by looking at their website.

Think about your key skills, competencies, qualifications and experience prior to your interview. So you will be well prepared to answer any questions without too much hesitation. In particular think about these in relation to the role you are applying for and the company itself.

You should also prepare some questions to ask at the interview. Make sure you prioritise them as the interview may not be long enough to ask them all.

Always plan ahead for your journey, get to know your route giving yourself enough time should there be any delays; if you are able to, try a dummy run.

It may seem obvious but turn off your phone.

Make sure you know who you are meeting with.

Arrive early, give yourself plenty of time, this will stop you getting flustered and the potential of your interview getting cut short if you are late.

Always make eye contact, smile and greet your interviewer with confidence, try to remember a few nerves are normal.

Be polite, use the right language and tone.

Listen to the questions and think before you answer, if you are unsure or do not understand, it is ok to ask for the question to be repeated.

Take along copies of relevant qualifications, certificates. This will show your potential new employer that you are organised and enthusiastic.

Ask for a glass of water if you need it.

Try not to monopolise the meeting – let your interviewer talk.

Be positive about your experiences, show what you have learned from any difficult situations.

Ask questions of your own when the opportunity arises this shows you are interested.

Keep your replies simple, but try to avoid just saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’.

Offer positive information – do not focus on negatives and never criticise previous employers. This is unprofessional.

Make sure the employer knows the benefits of employing you.

At the end of your interview, thank them for their time, tell them you are looking forward to hearing from them.

Never start your first interview asking about the salary. Ideally wait for the interviewer to bring it up or wait until the 2nd interview. You should already have given your salary expectations to Shuffle Recruitment who will have informed the potential employer, so the salary offered should be within this range.

Remember – Everything is negotiable!! If the final offer is not what you had hoped for, then be honest and say that you like the job, but the package is not up to your expectations – can they be flexible at all – now or after a probationary period.

If you decide not to accept the job, turn it down but be polite. You may want to work for them in the future.

If you’re not successful
If the employer does not offer you the job:

  • try to be positive - this is a chance to learn from your experience and build your resilience
  • Always ask for feedback on your interview, again this will help you learn moving forward
  • think about the things that did not go so well and what you could do to improve next time
  • get some interview practice. Shuffle Recruitment can help you with this

Sandy was able to provide a full and complete resource service for me in so far as finding a new and challenging role for me. Sandy knew of a position that she felt I would be able to do and put me in contact with a company. She led me through an introduction to the company, the interview process and then the reimbursement negotiation. She ensured that she was fully aware of my personal circumstances, the company's requirements and finally, ensured that when I was in position that I knew I could contact her with any concerns.
